Be Prepared!
Training for an MMA competition can be fun and exciting. But it's also a lot of work and you need to take it seriously. You don't want to get into the ring or cage without being fully prepared. Not only is that setting yourself up for defeat, but you are also running the risk of getting seriously injured. At Tiger Fox MMA we will give you the proper training you need to be the best fighter you can be.
Start Today!
One of the things we always advise people is to start today. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Today! We have heard so many excuses from people about why they can't start training for MMA. Usually they tell us they'll do it in a few days and when we talk to them a few days later they make another excuse. The truth is that there is never a good day to start practicing. There will always be reasons to postpone training, but you need to make a commitment to it.
The Tiger Fox MMA Way
At Tiger Fox MMA we have a very detailed and specific strategy for getting people in shape, developing strong striking (punches and kicks), and teaching self defense. Here are our 4 core principals:

- Practice hard — You will only be as good as you practice
- Play fair — No one likes to spar with the jerk who tries to slip in an extra punch, heel hook, or choke. Put 100% in, but when the bell rings you stop.
- Don't quit — Everyone wants to give up. Don't! Fight the urge and beat down the mental fatigue
- Get a good heavy bag for training — With so many crappy bags out there it's easy to get confused. You don't want to get an expensive bag and find out it breaks down or doesn't respond well to a punch or a kick. We always use this source for finding a good punching bag.
